I have this page bookmarked. Every once in a while I pull it up and read it. I should of submitted my comment months ago. I don't know why I didn't - I apologize. As June 25 approaches, I'm taking this month and going through my most frequently and most favorite websites honoring Michael Jackson. Words that people have expressed as if they were my own are very overwhelming. Your words Mr. Scorpeze are in my heart and coming out of your mouth and then typed on your website. Thank you! I am speechless when I think about Michael Jackson. In awe and overcome with a sadness mere words can't explain. On most days that's how I feel. Other days, anger eats away at me because of, as you put it, "willful ignorance of those who hate him…" I'm thankful the "lovers" outweigh the "haters" by a long shot. I'm raising my girl to really know Micahel and the truth about him. With her generation - there is hope. Our generation has already been tainted by the media. MJJ~forever

Dear Mr. Scorpeze,
Thank you for both of your articles on MJ. Your writing is almost as beautiful as his music and life.
I was convinced at the time, and remain convinced, that the allegations against him resulted in nothing less than a 21st century lynching. Some people just couldn't stand the fact that a black man had so much success, money, and power, and was LOVED by millions of people of all races all over the world.
I weep for our loss of him, but also that humanity has not evolved any further than this: to persecute such a kind, generous, loving, and talented soul whose only desire in life was to share his art with the world to make it a better place.
He kept trying to tell us what to do (as your quotes of some of his lyrics point out). What is so difficult about just doing it?
If you haven't seen InnerMichael.com, please do so; she articulates very well what so many of us believe.
Thanks again and blessings to you.

So beautiful and soothing to the soul your reflections on Michael Jackson. Thank you for focusing on his essence rather than his celebrity. When he left us it was like the world lost its substance, its glue but then I realized that he left the ppl of the world closer than ever through our love for him. I didn't know him, but it felt like I lost a close friend. Every day since that tragic day in June 2009, I still have to experience something that he lift behind for us, his music, his videos, his dance, his interviews, his words, fan blogs, whatever. So sad he's gone. Thanks for the tribute.

Wow! With all the negative things that have been printed about Micheal since his death, it's good to finally see something positive. You really 'get' Michael. Say what you want about the man, everyone must admit that he was a musical genuis, smart businessman, a beautiful human being, and, in the words of his daugher, "The best father in the world." I never met the man, but he was always there, and I, like most of his fans, expected that he would always be there. It's amazing; the media never gave him a moments peace while he was alive, and now that he's dead, they still won't leave him alone. I don't care what the haters say, the world is truly a darker place without him. Rest in peace, King of Music; even when you did things I didn't agree with, I always remained a big fan.

Thank you so much for this. I have been a fan for 29 of my 32 years. I too am blessed that this man was apart of my life. I wholeheartedly agree with you and thank you for putting this up. I wish that more people would get his message out.

Everything I learned about life I learned from Michael Jackson. I love this man, I always will. He is not the King of Pop--He is the The King period. What he sacrificed to give the world joy and love is amazing. I realize that he is human--but he is a one of a kind human. There will never be another phenomenon or man like him. The world is a much darker place with out him and the darkness is palpable.

I totally agree about his "blackness" (lmao at him marrying a white woman and having a perm line) If everyman modeled themselves after him this would be a better place.

There is only one King higher--and that's Jesus.

Michael--I'll love you forever---so much so I passed my love for you to my daughter and my hope is that she will pass her love of you to her children.
He will never be forgotten.

MJ forever.
